It was frustrating to see your beloved carbon frame being chipped by stones knock and cable rubs. The solution is to stick the carbon frame with protection 3M bra. It does add weight to the bike, though not significant. A sheet of 3" by 15" 3M clear bra weigh about 27grams, and cost about S$12 in LBS.
I sticked the 3M clear bra in strategic locations around the frame of my nomad carbon. The finishing is glossy, which makes the frame shining. Two sheets were used, thus adding about 54grams to my bike. Well, peace of mind is well worth the addition weight.
