KS i950R Adjustable Seatpost

KS i950R adjustable seatpost has become an indispensable component for all mountain biking. The convenience of adjusting the saddle height on the fly allows bikers to tackle more challenging trails with confidence. The only issue with KS i950R is the level design flaw, where an opening faces the perfect location for collecting mud and water when the trail condition gets nasty. Level jammed (by sands and mud) is common occurrence. There was once I pedal uphill at the lowest saddle position, it was torturing!

I nearly wanted to switch back to Thomson seatpost for good. An idea struck me after seeking help in a forum. DIY a mini mud guard by recycling a used bike's tube and tie it with a teflon strap. It works perfectly ok! Tested in trail rides under wet condition, passed with flying colors.

(Left Photo) This is the ideal mud guard produced by Kind Shock. Well, they should have known better before they launched KS i950R. Why the product testing did not show up? Looking at the new mud guard, I seriously doubt it will prevent the mud and sands from getting into the level.
